Reviews
'A lovely evening's entertainment.'
Any lover of Gilbert and Sullivan could not fail to enjoy Rosemere AOS presentation of Yeomen Of The Guard. A show that had everything, good principals, excellent chorus and a brilliant orchestra, it was a joy to sit through.
The set was well constructed and the costumes were sumptuous. As it was opening night it needed a little more pace but I am sure this would be corrected on following nights.
All the principals were absolutely spot on. Eleanor Molloy playing Elsie was superb. Hannah Carolan’s acting, singing and animated expressions as Phoebe were second to none. I must congratulate Bob Wardle, certainly one of the stars of the show, for giving us a wonderful Jack Point.
This is a show that needs more men than usual and they were there, singing so very well. They all gave strong performances.
Thank you for a lovely evenings entertainment.
