Earlier this month, on a wet and windy night in Whalley, we held a concert at Whalley Village Hall. The October weather didn’t put people off though; extra chairs had to be brought out for our keen audience!

The concert was a huge success, and in the words of an audience member, we had them “laughing, crying and singing all the way through.” It was a fantastic evening and so well received.

Our thanks go to Whalley Village Hall for the warm welcome they gave us, and to all who came along (and sang along!) to the performance.

Now it’s time to announce our next tour date!

On Saturday 11th November, we are performing at Horwich Parish Church in a Remembrance Day concert. To honour the occasion, you’ll be singing along to wartime classics such as ‘Pack up your troubles’, ‘It’s a long way to Tipperary’, ‘White Cliffs of Dover’ and ‘We’ll meet again’.

In true New Rosemere style, we will also be exploring the magic of the musicals. We’ll treat you to a sample of the Gilbert and Sullivan numbers we’re famous for (including Pirates of Penzance, Mikado and The Gondoliers), as well as music from a variety of popular musicals, such as Mamma Mia, The Sound of Music, Wicked, Oklahoma, Spamalot, My Fair Lady, Jekyll and Hyde, The Music Man and South Pacific.
It will truly be a night to remember, with something for everyone. We would love to see you there.

Tickets are £8 per person, which includes a glass of wine. You can book through the church by calling Susan on 01204 693722, or with New Rosemere by calling Dave at 01257 263053.

The good news doesn’t stop there… watch this space for future tour dates (there will be plenty of them!). Keep an eye on our Facebook page for the latest announcements.
